Knowledge base
Separately from this documentation site, Sencai has a searchable
knowledge base built into the app itself, under Support → Knowledge
Base (/gravity/support/knowledge-base).
What it contains
Section titled “What it contains”Articles are short, self-contained pieces organized by category:
- Getting Started
- Cloud
- Fleet
- Billing
- Security
- Compliance
- API
- Troubleshooting
Each article has a title, a short summary, a body, and tags. Some articles are global (visible to every organization); others are specific to your organization and only visible to your members. Any member of your organization - any role - can read the knowledge base; nothing about it requires elevated permissions.
By default, articles are listed with the most-viewed ones first, which tends to surface the most broadly useful content ahead of niche entries.
Org-specific articles typically come from your own account team - for example, a note about a custom integration or a workaround that’s specific to how your organization is set up. If you don’t see any, that just means none have been added for your organization; the global articles are still fully available to you.
Searching
Section titled “Searching”Type into the search box to filter by title and summary, and use the category chips to narrow further - search and category filtering combine, so you can search within a category or across all of them. Results update as you type, so there’s no separate “Search” button to click.
Search matches on the article’s title and summary rather than its full body text - if a broad search doesn’t turn anything up, try a shorter or more general term, or browse by category instead.
Opening an article shows its full content and, at the bottom, a Was this helpful? button - clicking it records that the article was useful, which helps prioritize what gets kept up to date.
How it relates to tickets and other help
Section titled “How it relates to tickets and other help”The knowledge base is standalone - it isn’t linked from a specific support ticket, incident, or runbook, and articles don’t reference those directly either. Think of it as a first stop before opening a ticket: if your question is common enough to have a written answer, searching here is usually faster than waiting on a response. If it isn’t covered, or your situation is specific to your organization’s own setup, go to Getting help and open a ticket instead.
Contributing an article
Section titled “Contributing an article”There’s currently no in-app way for a customer to submit or suggest a new knowledge base article - articles are written and maintained by the Sencai team. If you think something important is missing, raise it as a Feature Request or Question through support and mention what you were looking for.
What’s next
Section titled “What’s next”- Getting help - raising a ticket when the knowledge base doesn’t answer your question
- FAQ - quick answers to common account and billing questions
- Getting started - full walkthroughs on this site
